Models with a Cause Director Jason Rem is the Vice President of Production for the World Surf League and the President of REM Entertainment, Inc. Jason has interviewed some of the biggest names in sports, working on a variety of Sports Emmy-nominated shows, and producing, directing and writing hundreds of programs for ESPN and Fox Sports, as well as Sony, Nike, Red Bull, and the International Medical Corps. Jason has produced programming for the MLB World Series, the NBA and NHL Finals, the NFL Pro Bowl, the Kentucky Derby, the Masters Golf Tournament, the Olympics, and four NFL Super Bowls.

As the Vice President of Production for the World Surf League, Jason is dedicated to celebrating the world’s best surfing on the world’s best waves. The WSL runs global events across the Samsung Galaxy Men’s and Women’s Championship Tours, the Big Wave Tour, Qualifying Series, and Junior and Longboard Championships.

Jason is the head of REM Entertainment, which spotlights “real stories told by real people.” He is the producer of the award-winning documentaries Put the Needle on the Record, Hope Not Lost, The Blue Blood Rivalry, Rett: There Is Hope, and MAGDA. The last two films Jason co-produced with his good friend and former neighbor, MWAC Founder and President, Linda Collins.

In 2009, Jason introduced Linda to Rett Syndrome following a fundraiser for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. United in their passion to #ReverseRett, Jason and Linda partnered to produce the touching 2010 documentary, Rett: There is Hope. MAGDA, their second film released in 2015, is a riveting documentary about a World War Two hero and breast cancer survivor. (It’s streaming now on Amazon Prime).

Jason and Linda continue to champion worthy causes together through their work with MWAC. Jason plays a key role in the non-profit’s day-to-day operations, and is instrumental in maintaining strong relationships with several Causes, including Light School Uriri, Playing for Change, Linda’s Voice, and the Brent Shapiro Foundation. An impassioned philanthropist, Jason’s mission is to inform and inspire, using his talents and platform as a producer to raise awareness about crucial causes he believes have the power to change the world.
